Matt Gilbertson, MGA’s Founder | President | Director of Design, conceived Design Talk Hawaii as a way to give back to the community.

Serving as a forum for thoughtful, informed conversations on diverse, creative, design-oriented topics, Design Talk Hawaii was broadcast live for over five years. The show featured dynamic people from Hawaii’s many communities who touch design in some way enthusiastically sharing their stories and their gifts. Matt welcomed guests to join him in studio to discuss an artistic passion, a unique viewpoint and, most especially, how creativity and innovation fuel business success in Hawaii and beyond.

The live radio show steadily gained listeners and grew to the point of being invited to join a national network of all talk radio. The radio show episodes then became popular podcasts. Honolulu Magazine even included Design Talk Hawaii in its feature article on the hottest podcasts in Hawaii!

Design Talk Hawaii’s radio broadcast hit pause at the beginning of the Covid crisis, in the interest of public safety, but hopes to return to the airwaves in the future. Loyal fans and new listeners can still enjoy the show, because every episode of Design Talk Hawaii has now been archived as a Podcast.
