ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC), located in downtown Honolulu, is the largest private hospital in Hawaii. The QMC Project Architect approached MGA to renovate and convert the fifth floor of the Pauahi Wing from a 28 skilled nursing bed unit to a 30 bed acute care/telemetry unit.
The conversion of Pauahi 5 included reconfiguring the double occupancy patient rooms and opening up the enclosed nurse station. The entire unit was refinished and refreshed with new flooring, ceiling, wall finishes and furnishings. The project was completed on schedule and under budget.
